PROGRAM OUTLINE
This hands-on workshop is designed to unlock the basics of electronic music production in Ableton Live! Ableton Live is a dynamic and empowering tool for every stage of the musical process, from composition to production to live performance. Whether you are a producer or dj, sound designer or composer, the versatility of Ableton Live makes it the ideal tool for both beginners and experts
alike.

In just two days you will get an intensive introduction to the skills and techniques you need to start producing your own tracks.
• No experience with Ableton software is required
• A working knowledge of Windows or Macintosh or operating systems
• Basic audio recording and DAW knowledge, and familiarity with digital audio equipment such as MIDI controllers and audio interfaces is an asset
During this workshop students will learn:
• The Geography of Ableton
• Session View and Ableton’s Unique Workflow
• Drum and Midi Programming
• Basics of Lives Instruments and Audio Effects
• Mapping Controllers
• Recording into Live
• Composing in Arrangement View
Open group discussion and review about material presented, readings, and assignments

• The ability to complete all required activities and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the workshop modules

The following materials are not mandatory but strongly recommended:
• Apple Mac or PC computer with a minimum 4 GB of RAM and 500 GB of storage
• Latest version of Ableton Software
• Monitoring Headphones such as Audio-Technica ATH-M30x or equivalent
