Campus Director
Brian Watson
Skill, Talent, Tenacity, Drive - these are the four key traits that I find set an SAE student apart from anything else. Our campus is bursting with creative talent nurtured by a committed team of instructors, supervisors, and administrators who are excited to help prepare our students for careers they’re passionate about and are equally proud of our alumni who continue to make a name for themselves around the world!

Bio

As Campus Director and Senior Educational Administrator, I provide academic leadership and oversight of all aspects of the curriculum and instructional best practices; while ensuring the effective and efficient management of campus operations in order to achieve the best student experiences and outcomes.

I’ve worked in the music and entertainment business for almost 25 years. Prior to SAE, I set up shop at the award-winning record label & artist management Maximum Music Group; with well over 200 albums to its credit, Maximum’s roster has proudly garnered:
– 6 Juno Awards
– 5 Indie Music Awards
– 6 Western Canadian Music Awards
– 9 National Jazz Awards and
– 3 Canadian Urban Music Awards.

Before that, I served as Marketing Manager for Virgin Records Canada, overseeing radio promotion, publicity, and retail marketing for releases by The Rolling Stones, Janet Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, and The Smashing Pumpkins.

Other gigs along the way have included, Marketing Manager for Jones Soda, VP International Touring for Protégé Arts International, and National Booking Agent with Feldman & Associates representing clients such as Brian Adams, Sarah McLachlan, and The Tragically Hip.

Today I continue to speak publicity on Empowerment & Entrepreneurship, and I remain an active member of the Juno Awards Selection Jury and the Canada Council for The Arts Peer Assessment Committee.
