SAE INSTITUTE’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)
June 4th, 2020
Hybrid Model of Delivery
Under the guidance of the Province and WorkSafe BC, SAE Vancouver is pleased to announce that effective the week of June 1 we will be transitioning to a "hybrid model of delivery". This means students of SAE Vancouver will attend select physical classes on campus, while continuing to blend those with their on-line learning; excitingly, this phase also includes a safe and controlled re-opening of the campus; whereby students will be provided access to the Studio Facilities and Classroom Workstations.
These have been extraordinarily challenging times and we appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we continue to move forward with our gradual reopening strategy. The COVID-19 situation is ever-changing, and we may adjust operations as required.
Thank you and see you in class!

An SAE Vancouver update regarding COVID-19
Next week with classes officially starting April 6, we will have completed our transition to our new online learning model.
The impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having on our community is significant, complex and changing daily and we have moved quickly to this new delivery mode to allow our students to continue their studies.
Our students will be introduced to the Flip Learning Model, an enriching and rewarding learning experience; in addition our students will have access to the extensive SAE Learning Library, additional 1on1 Student & Instructor Time, an enhanced Gear and Equipment loan program, including exclusive invitation to the SAE Global Webinar Series.
SAE continues to follow all advice provided by government and health authorities - the health and wellbeing of students and staff is our top priority and remains at the forefront of our decision making therefore our Vancouver campus remains closed until further notice.
Our Admissions team remains available, should you be interested in enrolling in the next start date or learning more about our programming, we recommend that you email us directly at Vancouver@SAE.edu, and someone will respond within 24hrs.
If you need to get in contact with someone from Student Services, Finance, Studios & Facilities or contact the Campus Director, please also email us directly at Vancouver@SAE.edu, again, we will respond as quickly as possible.
From all of us here at SAE Vancouver, be safe and be well.

SAE Institute Vancouver continues to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, which is presenting unprecedented challenges for our teaching and learning communities.
In light of recent advice from the BC Provincial Health Office and the Ministry of Education - Province of BC, we have reviewed our response and today announce further proactive steps to help slow the spread of the virus.
While there have been no confirmed COVID-19 cases at our campus, SAE Institute Vancouver has immediately paused all on-site classes while we prepare to transition to online teaching. Beginning, April 14, all courses will be delivered online until further notice, allowing students the flexibility to continue their studies remotely.
Our administrative offices remain open during this time and within days, staff will be in contact with our students via email, regarding the specific methods of delivery through which their classes will resume. In addition and following social distancing guidelines, students will be updated on controlled and safe access to our studio facilities for hands-on exercises and learning.
Students are asked to check their email over the next few days for exact details and instructions.
FOCUS ON THE HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF STAFF AND STUDENTS:
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, SAE has put the health and well-being of students and staff first. We have increased cleaning services on campus, provided additional hand sanitization at our campuses and widely promoted good hygiene to minimise the risk of infection in our SAE community. Staff and students have been encouraged to stay home if they feel unwell and to seek medical advice. We have a global reporting system to record all suspected and confirmed cases of COVID-19 among our students and staff, and have continuity plans in place which focus on supporting students to continue their studies with minimal disruption.
We understand this is a stressful time for staff, students and their families. We will continue working hard to ensure the health and wellbeing of our community, support students to continue their studies, look after our staff and protect the future of our college.
