Doryan HeijnenMusic Producer / Boom Operator
After graduating I upgraded my audio skills into an additional career path as one in the film and television world as a boom operator and post-production sound mixer. I never would have imagined this for myself, but after being introduced to this wonderful world at SAE I decided to go for it. My schooling didn't end when the course finished. The teachers and staff continued to help and support me in achieving my goals in my career path by offering equipment rentals until I could afford my own, providing me with tips on how to do certain things on a film set, how to properly set up my field recorder, and so much more.
For anyone considering this program, I would highly recommend it! Additionally, I would highly recommend putting the work and time into the course material, as you're getting as much out of the program as you put in, and the knowledgable staff and supportive classmates are there to help you the whole way.
Doryan has been producing music under the moniker Heidorgen ever since graduating from SAE Vancouver in 2018. His passion has always been in playing with sounds and manipulating them to create something unique.
With a new album dropping in Spring 2022, he has meanwhile kept busy in the year of 2021 working on over a dozen film sets as a boom operator, sound assistant, and sound mixer, and has worked as a sound designer in post-production for over 10 short films, winning an award for Best Sound Design in May 2021.
He is always working on an audio project whether it’s for film or for music.
